Had the pork & apple burger sweet chilli, would have it again, we all had something different it all came at once & all hot. If you're not in a hurry & I don't mean that in a bad way, be there again dog friendly.

Friendly and supportive staff. We got here with the intention to have lunch and was told the kitchen got burnt yesterday. I sympathize with them. But we were told that we can order fish n chips. Mehn! We ate and ate and was overly excited at the meal even though none of us finished their meal. I will eat their cod fish and chips over and over. We got two cods and several other dishes. We were five but ordered 6 different dishes and got 5. When we realized that the 6th was missing, we called one of the staff who apologized, got the meal after few minutes and told us not to pay for it. I wished I could give more. I highly recommended this place for their kind and helpful service and I will sure visit again. Thank you

After a walk on the beach we popped in to this famous place and it was amazing. We were welcomed by the host and served really quicklyWe had a little 3 year old with us and she was welcomed too. Food was amazing and service was great.Really lovely place. Granddaughter was thrilled with her ice-cream.Everything you need for a relaxing lunchtime. Worth the trip from Birmingham.Thanks to all

Only been in the shack alongside Charltonpub. Just recently discovered the area. Lovely friendly manageress who served me coffee & ice-cream for my grandson. Fabulous walk along beach with small kids park nearby. Real quiet, clean little gem on Northumberland coast.How glad I am that we found this place. My dog goes crazy on cambois beach, he just loves it & so do I. So many friendly doggie people to speak to on our walk from river wansbeck to North blyth if the tide is out. The Shack do amazing fish & chips when you've worked up an appetite.We are now firm fans of Sunday lunch at Charltons. Very tasty choice of 4 meats with good portions of vegetables served by very friendly lasses. Tomato soup starter is fabulous as is pudding especially apple crumble pie. Highly recommended.

Nice no fuss bar with food area for chip shop fare... Good portions, food is very tasty and kids portions available for the younger ones. Cooked to order ans very reasonably priced. Nice coffee too. Bear to beach. Plenty of parking and tables outside if the weather is good..
